How it works
- 1
Tell us what you need
Limited company, sole trader, business name or just advice — and where you're based. Takes about a minute.
- 2
We match you locally
We pass your request to one vetted formation agent or accountant who covers your county. Not a ring-around of ten firms.
- 3
Get set up properly
They confirm a fixed price, then handle the CRO filing, secretary, RBO and tax registration so you can start trading.
What we can help you set up
Limited company (LTD)
Full incorporation with the CRO — name check, constitution, Form A1, secretary and RBO.
How it works →Sole trader
Revenue registration, business name, VAT advice and your first tax return.
How it works →Sole trader → LTD
Move a growing business into a company without tax surprises.
How it works →Non-resident founders
EEA director rules, the €25,000 bond and secretarial services sorted.
How it works →Company formation in your county
Local partners who know your Local Enterprise Office, your sector and your market.
Why not just do it yourself?
You can file Form A1 with the CRO yourself for €50. But names get rejected, constitutions get filled in wrong, single directors forget they need a separate secretary, and the five-month RBO deadline and first annual return catch out a lot of new companies — with penalties attached. A formation expert gets it right first time, usually within days, and many go on to look after your accounts and tax.

Frequently asked questions
Is RegisterMyCompany.ie free to use?
Yes. It's completely free for business owners. We introduce you to an independent formation firm in your county; you only pay them if you choose to go ahead with their quoted fee.
Do you register the company yourselves?
No — we're a matching service. The incorporation, sole trader registration and tax set-up are carried out by our independent partner firms: formation agents, company secretarial firms and accountants.
How quickly will I hear back?
Usually within one working day. If you're in a hurry, say so in your request and we'll prioritise it.
Can you help if I'm not sure whether to be a sole trader or a company?
Yes — pick "Not sure yet" on the form. Your matched accountant can look at your expected profits and tell you which structure makes sense before you spend anything.
Which counties do you cover?
All 26 counties in the Republic of Ireland, plus founders based abroad who want to set up an Irish company.
